- Leicester City are ready for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie against Everton, according to manager Claudio Ranieri
- Ranieri believes the Foxes will come up against a confident Everton side
- The City boss says Leicester must be wary of Everton’s attacking intent
Claudio Ranieri says Leicester City are well prepared for their trip to Goodison Park to face Everton on Saturday afternoon.
City recorded a 3-2 league win during their last visit to Goodison Park, but Ranieri knows Saturday’s encounter will be a new challenge for his side.
“Every match is tough, more so against Everton,” said the City manager. “In this moment, away, we aren’t the best team and they are very confident, but I love this. A little team against a big team that want to do something.
“We got there and we are waiting for a tough match, but we know we respect a lot Everton. They are a very good team. They won 3-0 on Monday. We are ready.”
Ranieri has warned his side must be wary of Everton’s forward ability having conceded two second-half goals in their last meeting, despite a positive performance at King Power Stadium.
He added: “I want to win. Then I want to put out the best 11 at the beginning and during the match. We lost here 2-0, with two long balls, then we must be very careful. But we are ready.
“Now the priority is the next match, and then the next one. This match is the FA Cup so the priority is the FA Cup.”
