- Squads have been confirmed for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar- James Maddison (England) and Wout Faes (Belgium) are set for their first major international tournaments- Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne (Belgium) have been selected for the competition- There are call-ups for Daniel Amartey (Ghana), Papy Mendy (Senegal) and Danny Ward (Wales)
Midfielder James Maddison is among the England squad traveling to Qatar hoping to lift the biggest honour in world football for the second time in the Three Lions' history. Gareth Southgate's men take on Iran, USA and Wales in Group B – with Maddison hoping to build on his solitary cap for his country. 
Elsewhere, there are three City players in the Belgium squad this winter – Youri Tielemans, Timothy Castagne and Wout Faes. The Red Devils, who reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia four years ago, will come up against Canada, Morocco and Croatia in Group F. 
Daniel Amartey has also been selected for Ghana who, in Group H, are scheduled to tackle Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic. AFCON champions Senegal, with Papy Mendy among their ranks, have been potted in Group A alongside hosts Qatar, Ecuador and Netherlands. Finally, in-form goalkeeper Danny Ward will be hoping to represent Wales in Group B encounters with USA, Iran and England.
