A festival of football for followers of the Premier League across the globe, the event promises to provide one of the most immersive sporting experiences South India has ever seen. Set amongst the bustling backdrop of Bengaluru’s enterprising Whitefield district, the Club’s Supporter Engagement team will be on hand to provide a host of fun interactive activities.
Throughout the weekend, Taggart, a UEFA Pro License holder, will also pass on his expertise to aspiring footballers by hosting free coaching sessions for local children.
Elsewhere, Filbert arrives in India with plenty of free giveaways for City’s international fan base - including limited edition clap banners, mini footballs and drawstring bags.
Visitors to the Club’s official tent can also enter competitions to win a Foxes home shirt signed by the entire first team squad.
After landing in the early hours on Friday, Taggart told LCFC TV: "It’s quite staggering, over the last 25 years or so, the Premier League has grown and grown.
"It is amazing that we find ourselves in a spot like this with so many people watching the Premier League. I’m really looking forward to getting out on the pitches and getting the balls out.
"Coming out here is good for the Club’s worldwide appeal to grow their brand. There will be a lot of people coming out with Leicester City shirts on.
"This is my first time in India and I’m absolutely thrilled. It’s a really, really friendly nation. It’s been a great trip so far."
Live coverage of Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United (5pm local), hosted by TV personalities Manish Bhasin and Seema Jaswal, is likely to be one of the main attractions over the weekend.
Thousands are expected to congregate in front of giant screens at the Karnataka Trade Centre for the clash before a 'goal rush' montage follows at the end of each day.
Bhasin and Jaswal will talk the crowds through the action in the company of Premier League legends, including Alan Shearer, John Barnes and Robert Pirès.
Taggart, too, will join the PL presenting duo on stage to discuss the weekend's results while, in the evenings, DJ Spoony is set to provide entertainment.
Visitors to the park can sample a Premier League matchday in the 360 virtual reality pods. EA Sports, Nike, Sporting ID and Topps also have a host of exciting activations planned.
In City's tent, memorabilia will be displayed - including match-worn shirts from the Club's intrepid run to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League last term.
Filbert, who last visited India for PL Live in Mumbai back in 2014, will also invite guests to challenge him at tennis football while Taggart will be happy to sign autographs.
