An interactive, supporter-based experience designed to export the drama of top flight English football across the world, Premier League Live combines live match action with a festival-style atmosphere.
Alongside eight others, the Club has a station at the KTPO Park in Karnataka with free giveaways, fun activities and opportunities to meet legends of the Premier League era.
Taggart, who made over 100 appearances for the Foxes across the turn of the millennium, was also on hand to sign autographs and share memories of past seasons with the Blue Army.
The Club welcomed upwards of 4,000 visitors to their tent on day one, including Chennai native Shrivathsan Sampath, a City supporter of four years who travelled 400 miles by bus to be there.
After embarking on a six-hour journey from the Bay of Bengal on the Indian east coast, Shrivathsan was greeted in Bengaluru by Taggart and City’s Supporter Engagement team.
“It is an inspiration for me. Everything in my life is related to Leicester,” Shrivathsan told LCFC TV.
“Whatever I do, I just get some inspiration from the team. When I got a chance to watch Leicester City, the 5-3 win over Manchester United, I saw there was something different about this team.
“The camaraderie of the team, you don’t see that everywhere else. You see Wes Morgan jumping on Kasper Schmeichel when he saves penalties, you don’t see that in other sides.”
An aspiring football and cricket commentator, Shrivathsan was then invited to join Taggart across the park at the Premier League's TV studios to witness a live broadcast first-hand.
Later in the day, Taggart had one last surprise in store - with the former Northern Ireland defender presenting Shrivathsan with a 2017/18 replica home shirt to take home to Chennai.
Shrivathsan added: "It's very difficult in India to get the Leicester City jersey, it took me two months to get one before. I am very thankful to Leicester and Mr Gerry Taggart!"
