In the winter of 1998, as Martin O'Neill's City embarked on an impressive second successive Premier League campaign, we secured the signing of PAOK FC captain Theo Zagorakis.
The midfielder's first of 68 appearances for the Club came as a substitute at Filbert Street as City ran out 1-0 victors over Leeds United on 7 February, 1998, a week after winning at Manchester United.
During what was quickly becoming a vintage era to support the Foxes, especially after the League Cup triumph of 1997, O'Neill's men had a reputation for regularly going head-to-head with the elite.
George Graham's Leeds certainly fell under that bracket and would later go on to finish fifth in the Premier League at the end of the 1997/98 season, qualifying for the UEFA Cup first round.

They arrived in Leicester with a string of talented stars, including the likes of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Harry Kewell, but they lost out to a determined City outfit on the day.
Penalty expert Garry Parker's 44th-minute spot-kick put us ahead, before Hasselbaink missed one of his own, while Zagorakis would come on for Robbie Savage with three minutes remaining.
Our stunning 3-1 win at Manchester City on 6 February, 2016 remains one of the most memorable afternoons in the history of the Football Club.
It came amid the backdrop of perhaps the most unlikely Premier League title hunt in history, as the Foxes went about proving their doubters wrong in spectacular fashion.
We turned up at Etihad Stadium boosted by an excellent 2-0 victory over Liverpool at King Power Stadium, but the trip to Manchester City was even more daunting for Leicester.
The Blue Army were hopeful, of course, but any pre-match nerves were quickly replaced by disbelief when Robert Huth's close-range finish put them ahead inside three minutes.

It was a lead City doubled shortly after the interval. N'Golo Kanté's pass was perfect for Riyad Mahrez and the Algerian did the rest, dancing into the area past Nicolás Otamendi and Martín Demichelis and finishing well.
Another Huth goal, a looping header over Joe Hart, made sure Sergio Agüero's late strike caused little concern, as Leicester started to believe. In May, we lifted the trophy.
Reigning Premier League champions Leicester City sealed a 3-1 success over Midlands rivals Derby County in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round on 8 February, 2017.
Following a 2-2 draw at Pride Park earlier in the year, the Foxes needed a replay - and extra-time - to get past Steve McClaren's EFL Championship side.
Title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri made 10 changes to his starting line-up following a home defeat by Manchester United just three days earlier.

The XI included summer signings Ron-Robert Zieler, Papy Mendy, Bartosz Kapustka and Ahmed Musa, but it was the familiar face of Andy King who opened the scoring.
However, his 46th-minute header was levelled by a Abdoul Camara free-kick just after the hour-mark and the score would remain locked at 1-1 until the final whistle.
Ranieri's men stepped it up in 30 minutes of extra-time, though, as January signing Wilfred Ndidi sent a scorching effort past Jonathan Mitchell before Demarai Gray's fine solo strike.
