The opportunity to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League was one that she could not turn down and, arriving at a relatively young age, Mouchon views Leicester as the perfect place to continue her progression.
“I’m super happy to sign for Leicester City and I’m hoping to have a great season with the Club,” the 21-year-old said during her first interview as an LCFC Women player. “I think that Leicester is a very good club that can develop young players with potential, so I’m certain that my development here will only be beneficial for me.
“And it goes without saying that the WSL is the most attractive league in Europe, if not the world. I think it’s a dream for most female footballers to play in England. It’s a very professional environment; you have everything you need here to progress and perform well.
“It’s incredible that it’s all for the women’s team; we just need to make sure that we make the most of it. There’s nothing more professional than having a training facility like this.”
New Manager Amandine Miquel worked with the Lille-born attacker at Stade de Reims across 2023/24 and Mouchon believes it will be beneficial to have a familiar face as she begins her Foxes journey, assisting adaptation to the culture and new ideas, as well as the language.
The 21-year-old is confident that she will be able to develop further at City.

She explained: “I do think that it will help to make my integration into the side a lot easier, especially my understanding of a tough project. It’s definitely a relief to know I have someone to lean on for support. I can’t wait to meet my new team-mates; I’m so excited to share the pitch with them and to start playing.”
Scoring nine times in 22 Division 1 Féminine matches last term, the Blue Army can expect more of the same from the imposing forward, who is aiming to replicate her form in England once she gets up to speed with the pace of the game.
The France Under-23s international added: “I will try to be the best I can be and to show all of my qualities – to have an impact when on the ball, to score and to stop the opposition. I like taking risks and am always looking to get forward, so I will do my best to bring all of that to the team.
“It is definitely one of my objectives (to score goals). I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself too soon, though, because I’m arriving in a new league, so I need time to adapt. But it’s in my mind that I want to score as many goals as possible.”
