While Fulham are set to visit King Power Stadium on Saturday, all eyes on currently fixed on the meeting with Crystal Palace this Wednesday, presenting an opportunity for the Foxes to put points on the board for the first time this calendar year.
Sitting down ahead of the 7:30pm kick-off on Filbert Way, Mavididi began by assessing the recent Emirates FA Cup triumph over Queens Park Rangers and how that emphatic victory may help to generate improved confidence in City’s ranks.

“But now we’ve got to take that focus into the league and hopefully pick up some points. It’s five [straight] defeats but we’ve been putting in the performances, so we need to keep going and keep building on that.
“With the teams that we’ve played, it’s been difficult for us, but hopefully we’ll get that fortune and start to get results again. It’s a massive week. Everyone in the building knows how big it is.”
Sitting 19th in the standings, without a Premier League win since Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first game in charge, the need for points is clear, with Mavididi aiming to contribute further in the coming weeks.

“It’s been difficult for everyone, myself included,” the 26-year-old admitted. “It’s nice to get a goal to boost the confidence for yourself and the team, but we know what we need to do.
“We’re doing it every day in training and we’re coming in with full focus on trying to get results. There’s just little details and advice that he gives us on the sidelines. We’re doing more shooting practices and the one per cents which help us.”
