Ghana are through to the last-32 stage of the FIFA World Cup
Abdul Fatawu played 45 minutes of their final group match
The Black Stars lost 2-1 to Croatia but qualified in third
Colombia are up next on Saturday (2:30am kick-off)
The Black Stars fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Croatia on Saturday night, but having already collected four points from their opening two matches in Group L, it was enough to finish as one of the best-placed teams in third.
Petar Sučić broke the deadlock after half an hour in Philadelphia, prior to Foxes attacker Abdul Fatawu emerging from the bench for the second period, replacing Elisha Owusu. Departing City striker Jordan Ayew captained the side, meanwhile, playing 71 minutes.
Derrick Luckassen then equalised with just over 15 minutes to play. Croatia wouldn't be denied victory, however, re-taking the lead via Nikola Vlašić's 83rd-minute strike to secure second place in the group.
For Carlos Queiroz's side, it's Colombia up next at Kansas City Stadium on Saturday (2:30am kick-off).
