We’ve nominated Ali Adnan as our Premier League Community Captain
Leicester City in the Community coach was presented his award by Ruud van Nistelrooy
Ali’s work recognised as part of the More Than a Game campaign
Ali, who has worked for our charitable arm for over a decade, was presented with his award by Ruud van Nistelrooy at LCFC Training Ground on Thursday. The honour, which forms part of the Premier League’s More Than a Game campaign, is testament to Ali’s journey with LCitC, where he started out as a Premier League Kicks participant in his local area before becoming a volunteer at these sessions. Ali was later employed as a casual member of staff, prior to being named a full-time Premier League Kicks coach and leading on the programme, which supported more than 2,100 young people across Leicestershire during the 2023/24 season. He is also a familiar face at King Power Stadium on home matchdays, looking after our flag bearers and helping to run our fan activations.
More Than a Game brings together top-flight clubs to celebrate how Premier League funding and club community programme delivery positively impacts the lives of millions of people across the country.
This year’s campaign period launched on Friday 31 January, with all Premier League games between Saturday 1 February and Sunday 16 February dedicated to the initiative.
As part of this, each Premier League club nominated a Community Captain to recognise their contributions and achievements as part of Premier League-supported projects.
