Arsenal were victorious over LCFC Women on Wednesday evening
The loss confirms bottom spot in the Barclays WSL for the Foxes
Defender Ashleigh Neville reacted to the defeat in north London
The Foxes will look to put Wednesday's loss to the Gunners behind us as soon as possible, with two more Barclays Women's Super League games in the offing before that all-important play-off fixture towards the end of May, which will determine our position next season. Speaking on the game, the former Tottenham Hotspur defender admitted it will be a tough one to take for a day or two, but attention must quickly switch to Chelsea, who make the trip to King Power Stadium on Sunday (2:30pm BST kick-off).
"We're really disappointed," Neville stated. "No one wants to play in a game and concede seven goals. It's a tough place to come and disappointing to concede that many goals.
The full-back urged the team to keep working.
"It gives us clarity now that we are building towards a play-off game. We have to build for each game going forward as best as we can and I have a lot of trust in the team to do that."
Joining the Foxes in January, the defender is yet to find herself on the winning side in a Leicester shirt, but has complete confidence in her team-mates to do what is necessary and find a winning formula ahead of the play-off game.
Neville added: "It's difficult because we haven't won this year, but the girls are great and they come into training each day wanting to do better so we'll look at this game, and see how we can improve going forward.
"You can't win games without scoring but we've got a couple of games now before that play-off so hopefully we can work on those things.
"I have so much confidence in this group. The girls never quit, the staff are amazing and it's hard when we're in these positions, but we need to dig deep because these few weeks are going to be really important for us."
