The Hospice care for babies, children and young people with serious or terminal illnesses
The Loughborough-based Hospice care for hundreds of families in the East Midlands each year who have a baby, child or young person with a serious or terminal illness that means that their lives will be shorter than most.
The City duo - along with Club mascot Filbert Fox - met with patients and their loved ones, chatting and sharing smiles, while handing out a selection of thoughtful gifts purchased by the Men’s First Team squad.
These items included sensory toys, arts and crafts, books, blankets and warm clothing - all chosen to bring comfort and joy during the festive period.
Coady said: “It was truly humbling to visit Rainbows to see the incredible work they do. Christmas is about giving and spreading joy, and it’s a privilege to contribute in any way we can.
“Spending time with the children and their families was a wonderful experience. Their resilience and the care they receive at Rainbows is totally inspiring, and we hope these small gifts bring a little extra happiness this Christmas.”
Rainbows support every baby, child and young person to fulfil their potential, and help families make the most of every precious moment, while capturing memories and keepsakes to treasure.
The care they offer is wide ranging, and includes palliative care and end of life care, symptom management, emergency care, respite and short breaks.
