England to face Greece at King Power Stadium on Tuesday 13 October
Fixture is the second leg of a FIFA Women’s World Cup Round 1 play-off
Third Lionesses international to be staged at the home of Leicester City
England+ priority ticket window opens on Friday 21 August
Sarina Wiegman’s side will return to Leicester for the second leg of their Round 1 play-off, following the opening game of the tie at the Pankritio Stadium in Heraklion on Friday 9 October.
The two fixtures will represent the first meetings between England and Greece in senior women’s international football, with both legs to be shown live on ITV Sport.
October’s game will be the Lionesses’ third appearance at King Power Stadium, following two memorable previous visits.
England recorded a 1-0 UEFA Women’s Nations League victory over Belgium in front of 28,321 supporters in October 2023, before over 25,000 fans returned to Filbert Way in June 2025 to see their final fixture ahead of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 – a 7-0 win over Jamaica.
Leicester City Chief Executive Kevin Davies said: “We are proud to have been chosen to host England’s Lionesses for a third time and look forward to working with The FA to deliver another memorable evening at King Power Stadium.
“Their two previous visits have been excellent occasions, bringing large crowds to the stadium and showcasing women’s football to families and young supporters from across Leicester and the wider region.”
England Head Coach Sarina Wiegman said: “I am looking forward to getting the squad back together after having four months away. We know what our objective is for these two games and exactly what we need to do to qualify for next summer’s tournament in Brazil.
“Greece is a new opponent for us, which brings a different challenge. We will prepare thoroughly and be ready to perform across both matches.
“Leicester City’s stadium is a great venue and one where we have enjoyed positive experiences on our previous visits. We always receive fantastic support from our fans and are looking forward to feeling that energy again.”
