The 17-year-old attacker made his Robins debut as a half-time substitute in the Sky Bet League Two clash at EV Charger Points Stadium and managed to find the net with 20 minutes remaining to see Steve Cotterill’s side pick up three points on the opening day.

Fellow forward Otchere started the fourth tier clash, playing just under an hour for his adopted club, who sit seventh in the early standings. Both will have another opportunity to be involved in this Saturday’s away fixture at Swindon Town (3pm kick-off).

Swindon drew 0-0 with Northampton Town in their opening fixture of 26/27, a game which saw Logan Briggs make his Cobblers debut, playing 90 minutes at Sixfields Stadium.

A trip to Crewe Alexandra comes next in League Two, a 3pm kick-off at Mornflake Stadium. Before then, attention turns to the EFL Trophy, hosting Brighton & Hove Albion Under-21s on Tuesday (7pm kick-off).
