Matchweek 22 came to a close on Merseyside in difficult fashion for the Foxes, as we were beaten by Everton after a 96th minute winner from Mayumi Pacheco, finishing bottom of the league standings.
There was just the one change from Rick Passmoor's side, following a home reverse to Chelsea, with Chantelle Swaby dropping out, as Olivia McLoughlin came back into the starting XI for our final WSL season game.
Foxes hit the woodwork

It took a while for either outfit to find their way into the game and start creating chances, but after that, both teams will feel like they should've scored.
Our best couple of chances came in the space of a as many minutes, first of all when a Sam Tierney corner was met by a Leicester head, but it was wide of the mark.
Moments later, Shannon O'Brien did well to swivel on the spot and shoot from close range, but somehow Courtney Brosnan managed to turn the ball onto the post.
Everton score late on

Throughout the second half, it was a very even affair, with both sides looking to end on a high, and the introduction of Jutta Rantala at half-time and Noémie Mouchon later on gave us a sharp edge in attack.
However our best chance of the half fell to Tierney, who intercepted a loose ball from the hosts' defence, and went one-on-one into the box, but failed to beat the 'keeper from close range.
Solid defending across the 90 minutes was eventually undone deep into added time when Everton prevented us from collecting our first point of 2026, as Pacheco tapped in a low cross from just a yard out.
All focus on the play-off
We head to the Valley to face Charlton next week in the play-off.

While our loss at Goodison Park this afternoon brings an end to the regular campaign, our fate for next season is defined by our play-off fixture with Charlton Athletic next Saturday (12:30pm BST kick-off) at The Valley.
A win against the WSL2 third-placed team would confirm our spot in the top flight next season, along with Birmingham City and Crystal Palace, who achieved automatic promotion from the second division.
Tickets for the game can be found HERE. Make sure to join us in the capital, as we look to end the season on a high.
