Chelsea are the next opponent to face LCFC Women
The two sides meet on Saturday afternoon in the Barclays Women's Super League
Amandine Miquel previews the test that awaits at King Power Stadium
It's a quick return to WSL action this weekend for the Foxes, who host Chelsea on Filbert Way, after midweek success against Birmingham City in the Women's League Cup. The former Stade de Reims Manager is looking to build on the positives displayed against the Blues, in which they scored five, which will no doubt have boosted morale in the squad.
Building on Wednesday's win over Birmingham.
"I think we have to take our chances on Saturday," Miquel stated. "We lacked that last weekend against Man City, we know that teams who possess more of the ball have weaknesses behind so we want to exploit them on the transition. "If we are as good as we were on Wednesday against Birmingham, then we'll be dangerous and have a good chance of causing them problems."
Going head-to-head with a familiar foe in Sonia Bompastor, Miquel knows the strengths that Chelsea possess, and the impressive adaptability the London outfit could show on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea are the next test to await the Foxes.
"It would help if she [Sonia Bompastor] had a mid-table team but Chelsea are one of the best around," the Manager explained,. "We know how they want to play and their philosophy but when they have the players they have, it's harder to make your game plan work.
"It's a great opportunity to finish the year on a high in front of our home fans. It was great to see them midweek and and see us win, and now they will be supporting us against one of the top teams in the country."
