  • A handful of Foxes are setting sights on qualification for next year's FIFA Women's World Cup
  • Sari Kees (Belgium), Olivia Clark and Hannah Cain (Wales) all vying for a spot
  • Emily van Egmond could be in friendly action for Australia against Mexico
  • Academy graduate Denny Draper called up for England Under-20s
FIFA Women's World Cup qualification is on the cards for several City players during June, with the final round of group stage games to be played this week - ahead of the 2027 tournament, which is set to be held in Brazil.
In Europe, Foxes defender Sari Kees could be involved for Belgium in back-to-back matches against Luxembourg, with the Red Flames currently sitting second in Group H, behind leaders Scotland on goal difference.
At the same time, goalkeeper Olivia Clark may be in action for Wales alongside departing forward Hannah Cain, with both called into the Dragons’ squad for their qualifiers away to Montenegro and at home to Albania. Rhian Wilkinson’s side also sit second, in Group E, trailing their final opponents on goal difference.
Van Egmond is Australia's most-capped player.

Elsewhere, most-capped Australian Emily van Egmond joins back up with the Matildas for a duo of home friendlies against Mexico, playing at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle before travelling to Sydney for game two at CommBank Stadium.
With England Under-20s set for meetings with Canada and then Japan at Murcia Stadium in Spain, in preparation for September’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, young forward Denny Draper has the chance to feature after being named in Lydia Bedford’s 26-player squad.
