Leila Ouahabi, Kerolin Nicoli and Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw gave Man City a strong lead before Academy star Nelly Las netted on a wet and windy afternoon in Manchester, as the Foxes exited the competition, and now focus back on Barclays Women's Super League duties.
Seven changes were made to the side that were beaten by Everton last time out, with new signings Hlín Eiríksdóttir and Olivia Clark both making their first starts for the Club, while Lioness Ruby Mace returned following her suspension.

The first chance for Leicester, after some constant pressure from the hosts, came after 12 minutes when clever footwork from Shana Chossenotte opened space for the ball to be played into Hannah Cain, but the Welsh international pulled her effort wide of the post.
Just before the 20 minute mark, the deadlock was broken. Man City, who played a free-kick quickly after a collision left Sam Tierney on the deck, had a succession of chances from close range. The Foxes did well to defend the first few before Ouahabi found the corner.
The Citizens didn't have to wait long for their second, but did get a bit of luck with it, when what looked like a cross from Nicoli took a deflection off Asmita Ale, looping the ball over Clark.
In the second half, Shaw was introduced for the home side and found the net after 15 minutes when she connected with a cross, to put the ball beyond the Leicester 'keeper to extend the hosts' lead.

A long-term positive from the afternoon was the involvement of Academy trio Las, Simone Sherwood and Sammy Kaczmar, who looked at home in a First Team environment.
With 10 to go, Las was sent through on goal, and she finished like an experienced pro, under the Man City goalkeeper to get us on the scoresheet.
It sadly wasn't enough to spark any form of comeback, as the Citizens took the available spot in the quarter-finals of the competition as Leicester return home to face Aston Villa in the Barclays Women's Super League on Sunday afternoon (3pm GMT kick-off).
