Players also joined in with arts and crafts, posed for photos and signed autographs, bringing festive cheer to the wards.
Jamie Vardy said: “This is one of the most meaningful traditions for us as players, seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and their families means so much, especially at this time of year. We’re proud to bring a little joy to those who need it most.
“Spending time here reminds us how important it is to give back, and we feel incredibly privileged to be part of these moments. We hope we’ve managed to bring happiness and lift some spirits ahead of Christmas."

The visit was part of our commitment to giving back to our local community, especially during the festivities, and supported by Leicester City in the Community, who work year-round to make a positive impact across the region.
Sunita Patel, Head of Charity for Leicester Hospitals Charity, added: “We are so grateful to the players for visiting the children’s wards at Leicester Royal Infirmary during what is a busy time in the football calendar. We know how special these visits each year are to the children and their families.

“On behalf of everyone at University Hospitals of Leicester, I’d like to say a big thank you to the players for making great things happen for some of our most vulnerable patients during this special time of year.”
