  • We’re dedicating tonight’s Premier League game against Brentford to Heartwize
  • Heartwize are one of the VS Foundation’s nominated charities for the 2024/25 season
  • They are committed to raising awareness of the life-saving importance of CPR and defibrillator use
  • Text CPR plus the amount you wish to donate to 70460 to support Heartwize
  • For example, to donate £5 text CPR 5 To 70460
Earlier this week, we announced specific matchdays for all four of the VS Foundation’s nominated charities this year, with tonight’s clash against the Bees the first of those special fixtures.
The Heartwize matchday is dedicated to raising awareness of the life-saving importance of CPR and defibrillator use, as well as providing an opportunity for fans to support the charity’s incredible work through matchday donations.
Every donation - big or small - will help Heartwize continue their efforts in teaching CPR across Leicestershire and improving survival rates for those experiencing cardiac arrest.
How You Can Support
Volunteers from Heartwize will be present in and around King Power Stadium later today, engaging with fans and providing essential CPR education.
Here’s how you can get involved and show your support:
  • Bucket Collections: Look out for the Heartwize volunteers stationed around the stadium, easily identifiable in their branded t-shirts, and drop in a donation if you can.
  • Donate: Every donation goes directly towards expanding Heartwize’s vital CPR and defibrillator training. Text CPR plus the amount you wish to donate to 70460. For example, to donate £5 text CPR 5 To 70460.
  • Digital Donations: Can’t carry cash? No problem! A QR code will be displayed on various digital screens, allowing fans to donate quickly and easily.
  • CPR Demonstrations: Visit the Heartwize information stall outside the stadium, where mannequins and demo materials will be set up to teach fans how to perform CPR – a skill that could one day save a life.
  • Chain of Survival Education: A powerful Chain of Survival graphic will be showcased on the big screen at half-time, helping to educate supporters on the critical steps to take in an emergency.
  • Pitchside Interview: Heartwize volunteers will take to the pitch at half-time to discuss the importance of quick action during cardiac emergencies and how supporters can make a difference.
  • Heartwize Visibility: From LED boards to stadium concourses, the Heartwize logo will be visible throughout the stadium, reinforcing the life-saving message.
Player Support
We recently welcomed Heartwize to LCFC Training Ground in Seagrave, where volunteers delivered CPR training to members of our Men’s First Team squad and Academy players.
The session equipped the players with basic life support skills, including adult and child hands-only CPR techniques, while they also learned how to use a defibrillator and gained valuable insights into post-incident welfare considerations.
Following the activity, and to show further support to Heartwize, our Men’s First Team players came together to purchase new defibrillators for the charity.
The players made a collective decision to fund defibrillators to help Heartwize’s ongoing work in our region, with these to be located in various community settings across the county to ensure more people have access to critical life-saving equipment.
To further highlight this important cause, our players will warm up in Heartwize branded t-shirts ahead of the game.
Heartwize
Every Donation Counts
Cardiac arrests can happen anywhere, at any time – and swift action can save lives.
By donating tonight, you’ll be directly supporting Heartwize’s mission to equip more people with CPR skills and increase access to defibrillators.
Every penny raised will help fund training and essential resources, ensuring that more lives can be saved in the future. Please text CPR plus the amount you wish to donate to 70460. For example, to donate £5 text CPR 5 To 70460.
On what promises to be another exciting night of football on Filbert Way, please take a moment to support Heartwize. Whether through a donation, learning CPR, or simply spreading awareness, your contribution could one day make all the difference.
