Leicester City returned to winning ways on Tuesday evening against West Ham United
The result takes City up to 13 points in the Premier League
Ruud van Nistelrooy's Foxes scored three on his Club debut
Mads Hermansen shared his thoughts on the success
It was debut delight on Tuesday evening for new Leicester Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who saw out a 3-1 win over West Ham United at King Power Stadium. Delighted to return to winning ways and add to their points tally, Hermansen is pleased also to have confidence running back through the squad. "It's always important to win and get some points on the table," the goalkeeper stated. "We haven't won in some time so it's nice to get that winning feeling back in the squad again.
Hermansen made some crucial saves against the Hammers.
"It always helps when new staff come in with new ideas and obviously I think we've done well. The Manager has come in with only two days to prepare and, as a team, we did well to buy into his ideas, so it's lovely to get a win."
Although the day may be remembered for Leicester scoring three, the fixture wasn't without some fine saves from the Danish shot-stopper, who remained humble on the matter, frustrated to concede late on.
He added: "It's difficult to say, but it's always good to get some saves, especially when we win, that's the best feeling.
"We are all very disappointed to not get a clean sheet. We work hard on the set-pieces but, right now, the most important thing is to get some wins and get back on the right track which started well today."
Celebrations at full-time.
City are back on Filbert Way this Sunday when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the East Midlands for a 2pm GMT kick-off.
Hoping to keep this momentum going, the 24-year-old is confident the Foxes faithful will bring the same atmosphere at the weekend to help keep the team moving forward.
"Winning football games always helps with the atmosphere around the Club and dressing room," Hermansen explained. "It's always nice and we will try to bring the positives back here on Sunday."
