Portuguese forward Marçal returned from injury to make his first appearance for De Graafschap Doetinchem in Keuken Kampioen Divisie. The debutant played the final 27 minutes of a 3-1 victory over VVV-Venlo on Saturday to lift Superboeren up to second in the Dutch second division. An encounter with Jong Ajax awaits next Monday (7pm kick-off).
In the Sky Bet Championship, Souttar helped top-of-the-table Sheffield United to keep a clean sheet at home to Oxford United last midweek, running out 3-0 winners at Bramall Lane.

Back to League 1 duties on Saturday, the 20-year-old winger is in line for his 21st appearance across all competitions so far this term for the side sat 17th in the third tier when the host Leyton Orient on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).
Staying in Sky Bet League 1, Amani Richards played the final 18 minutes of Exeter City’s 2-0 defeat at home to Birmingham City, with the young forward getting another chance to be involved this weekend, when the Grecians travel to Stockport County (3pm kick-off).

In Sky Bet League 2, Development Squad striker Chris Popov was an unused substitute in Barrow’s 1-1 draw away at Bradford City, with the Bluebirds hosting MK Dons at 3pm on Saturday.
Over in the Scottish Premiership, Sammy Braybrooke also remained on the bench as Dundee drew 1-1 with Kilmarnock before a 4-1 victory over Motherwell on Wednesday night. Flying high in fifth, the Dee are due in Edinburgh for a meeting with bottom of the table Hearts this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
