After back-to-back defeats, the Foxes youngsters returned to winning ways in style at Little Heath Sports Ground, lifting the side coached by Adam Barradell above the Hammers in the table.
City were ahead in the first minute of the contest, breaking the deadlock via a close-range finish from star of the show Hutchinson, after West Ham ‘keeper Lanre Awesu could only parry the initial shot.
The home side soon turned things around, however, levelling almost instantly via Josh Ajala’s tap in, after forcing a defensive mistake.
The forward was clearly in the mood and he capitalised on being in the right place to find the net again four minutes later, once Josh Donohue had saved Jethro Medine’s effort.
Incredibly, the game’s fourth goal arrived before a quarter of an hour, with Bismark Owusu teeing up Hutchinson to notch a brace and equalise.
We regained the advantage quickly, however, Bless Akolbire poking in. The lead was extended further before half-time too; Owusu with a neat turn and finish.
The goals continued to flow for the visiting Foxes following the interval. Maxwell Adedeji headed home a free-kick for the fifth and put City out of sight.
West Ham did pull one back when skipper Rayan Oyebade crossed for Josh Landers to nod into the corner, but that was followed by Hutchinson going down the other end and completing his hat-trick in the final minute of normal time.
Now ninth in the table, on 15 points from 15 matches, it’s Norwich City up next for our Under-18s on Tuesday 25 February, a 1pm GMT kick-off at Avant Training Centre.
