Bristol City await at King Power Stadium on Tuesday night as we return to familiar territory following the 1-1 stalemate with Ipswich Town three days earlier, which sees us sit 22nd in the Sky Bet Championship. Reflecting on the point earned at Portman Road, the centre-back referenced the battling qualities demonstrated by the Foxes over the weekend and the requirement to turn draws into wins between now and the end of the season.
“We knew it was a big game going into that,” the defender told CITY Matchday Magazine following the trip to Suffolk. “The boys performed really well, obviously against top opposition.
“We know we've got a lot of quality in the team, but at times we probably need to show more of the other side and that's exactly what we did against Ipswich. In the end, I think we were pretty happy with a point at their place.
“Having nicked a few draws on the road, it's important to keep it up. We've got a couple of home games coming up and we need our quality to come through and start winning some games.”
An experienced head within the dressing room, the former Newcastle United stalwart is well versed in being involved in such a scenario and is very aware of what is required, with Queens Park Rangers also on the horizon after our battle with the Robins.

The 32-year-old continued: “It's not a nice situation in terms of where we are, but I've been in the situation quite a few times in my career and it's important that we stick together and work even harder on the training ground.
“We've got more than enough quality to do the job. It's just about it all gelling together and I think we're seeing signs of that, and hopefully we get the proper reward against Bristol City from all of our hard work.
“Home games, we need to win. Looking at where we are in the table, I think we need to remember the badge we play for – it's a huge club and we need to play with that little chip on our shoulder because any team that comes here, they should know they’re in for a tough day. That's a feeling we need to create.”
