Foxes goalkeeper Mads Hermansen was an unused substitute on the night, while Victor Kristiansen has now been called up to Brian Riemer’s squad for the second leg, which takes place at 7:45pm on Sunday at Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.
Elsewhere in the Nations League, Wout Faes remained on the bench as Belgium slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Ukraine in the first leg of their play-off fixture.
Battling for a route into League A, the Red Devils took the lead in Spain courtesy of Romelu Lukaku’s strike, but three second-half goals saw the Ukrainians take a healthy lead into the reverse fixture. The second leg, on Sunday, is set for a 7:45pm kick-off at Cegeka Arena in Genk.
Meanwhile, Development Squad attacker Logan Briggs was on the bench for Wales Under-21s as Matty Jones' side secured a 1-0 friendly victory over Andorra, with the winning goal coming from on-loan Foxes forward Chris Popov.
A host of Foxes could be in action on Friday, too, with Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria), Jordan Ayew (Ghana), Bilal El Khannouss (Morocco) and Bobby De Cordova-Reid (Jamaica) all set to be involved for their respective nations.
