Leicester City confirm Jordan James loan signing
The 21-year-old joins us from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais
He has won 20 international caps for Wales
The 21-year-old Wales international made 23 appearances in Ligue 1 last season and will now spend the 2025/26 campaign at King Power Stadium.
He told Foxes Hub: “I’m very happy and I can’t wait to get started. When Leicester came calling, it was something I was really open to. This year my aim is to help the Club and help my team-mates get the Club back to where it should be. I’ve always thought highly of Leicester, I like the way they play and I think this is a move that really suits me. I just can’t wait to get going and help the team.”
Born in Hereford, Jordan came through the youth ranks at Birmingham City and made his senior debut as a 17-year-old against Bristol City in November 2021.
He ended his first campaign in senior football as the club’s Young Player of the Season, and following his successful breakthrough year, became a Sky Bet Championship regular with the Blues.
After playing more than 100 games for the second-city club, Jordan signed a permanent deal with Stade Rennais in August 2024 and featured 23 times in France’s top-flight last term.
Internationally, Jordan travelled with Wales to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and won the first of his 20 senior caps to-date against Croatia in March 2023.
