I’ve played with and against some nice players so this will be my best pick for my team…

I’d have Manuel Neuer in goal. I played against him for Feyenoord in the Champions League. We didn’t attack much, but when we did, he made some good saves. He’s also a really good player so I’d take him on my team, because I know that he can play with his feet.

For my defender, I’d pick [Alessandro] Bastoni from Inter Milan. In the Champions League, he was really good, defending and attacking. He’s one of the special players from their team.

As a midfielder, I’ll go with [Joshua] Kimmich, alsofrom Bayern. He’s a really good player. He was everywhere on the pitch in midfield that day and I really like his style of play.

I have two attackers for sure. In attack, it is an easy choice. I’ll go with [Lionel] Messi and [Erling] Haaland. With Haaland, we know he’s a great striker, a top scorer. I played against him in the Champions League group stage, it was 3-3 at [Manchester] City and he scored twice.

As for Messi, I played against him in America. He’s unbelievable, I don’t think I need to explain anything about him. He was still different, you can tell. Whenever he wanted, he was just making plays and dribbling past people like nothing. His first touch was also something insane.

When I was in the [Argentina National Team] Under-20s and Under-23s, we used to do some training with them (the senior side) and friendly games, 11 vs. 11. Just seeing him there at that time, there were crazy players like [Gonzalo] Higuaín. I played with him in Miami and he’s also a top striker. He could definitely be there [on the bench].
