  • Leicester City drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion in the Sky Bet Championship
  • The Foxes showed character to come from behind once again, says Julián Carranza
  • The striker made his second appearance for the Club at the Hawthorns
  • The visit of Wrexham to Filbert Way follows on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off)
The Foxes picked up a point on the road courtesy of an injury-time equaliser, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s volley deflecting off Nat Phillips to secure a draw at The Hawthorns, despite trailing for the majority of the contest.
Displaying a never-say-die attitude, it was a third successive Sky Bet Championship stalemate for the Foxes, and the Argentine believes it’s now about working to ensure it is three points rather than one when Wrexham arrive at King Power Stadium this Tuesday evening (7:45pm kick-off).
“We played a good first half,” the striker assessed, having played the second half against the Baggies, following up his debut against Coventry City on Filbert Way. “In the second half we were taking risks a little bit and then we conceded some chances.

“There’s a lot of things that we need to improve towards the next game and we will do that in the next couple of days. That’s something that we’re going to keep doing, keep pushing until the end. The fans also helped a lot, they were cheering for us every single play, so that gave us some courage.
“We need to keep working. This group has more energy and more quality. A point is the least that we wanted to get out of here. We’re trying to move our heads to the next game, focusing on that and hopefully we can do our best and get the three points at home on Tuesday.
“I love it at home. My last game there was my first, of course. The crowd was really nice, they were pushing for us as well. We couldn’t get a result but they were pushing us and that’s what we need for Tuesday as well to get the three points.
“For us on the pitch, it doesn’t really matter what people say, and what happens outside, we just try to win the football game by focusing on the game plan.”

Pleased to get make his second appearance in a Leicester City shirt since arriving on loan from Feyenoord, Carranza’s half-time introduction against West Brom was another step in the right direction, he feels, as he gets up to speed, improving fitness with each game.
“I like it,” the 25-year-old added. “I have really good team-mates and I think I fit really well with this type of playing. To keep playing and being on the pitch, that’s why I came here, to do that.
“I think every single day is a day to learn and get better, physically, mentally and tactically with the coach and my team-mates. I’m feeling great and happy to be here.
“We have really good players up top but every opposition has top players, but the opportunities are going to come. I’m happy to keep trying to do my best to help the team whenever they need and trying to improve.”
