The full-back, capped once for England, was forced off before half-time in the 2-0 reverse to Arsenal earlier this month and missed the 4-0 loss to Brentford last time out.
Woyo Coulibaly has come into the XI after joining us in January but Justin could be available for selection soon, although that is subject to fitness tests this week. We take on West Ham at 8pm GMT on Thursday.
“We’re doing everything we can to get him fit for Thursday,” van Nistelrooy told reporters on Tuesday.
“That’s yesterday, today, tomorrow, it’s still a work in progress to get him fit for Thursday. There’s no news yet but we’re doing everything we can.”
The Manager also discussed the changes he's made tactically since joining the Foxes.

Asked if he is considering a change in tactical plan for West Ham, the Dutchman emphasised that tweaks are always a part of his thinking.
“It’s always the right time to try something different to help us get the results we want,” he explained. “It’s the approach for every game.
“If we think, as a staff, there’s a decision to be made to make a change, we’ve made a quite bit of changes... the centre-backs, the wingers, the No.6s, the full-backs.
“It’s not that it’s change all the time, but if we feel it’s necessary to get the best results, yes, of course.”
