Goalkeeper Katie Keane signs a new three-year contract
The 20-year-old commits her future to the Foxes until 2029
Republic of Ireland youth international joined the Club in 2025

The 20-year-old joined us from League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers in August 2025 and went on to make her senior debut against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in April.

She made her first LCFC Women start against Chelsea at King Power Stadium four days later, before featuring against Everton and in the Barclays Women’s Super League play-off against Charlton Athletic.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Katie said: "I’m really happy to sign a new contract and commit my future to Leicester City. I’ve really enjoyed my time here since joining the Club and I feel like I’ve developed a lot already.

“Getting the opportunity to make my debut and play in some big games last season was a great experience for me. I want to keep improving, keep pushing myself and contribute as much as I can.

To the fans, thank you for making it feel like a home away from home and I can’t wait to keep pushing for the best for the Club.”

The Republic of Ireland youth international began her senior career with Shelbourne, becoming one of the Club’s youngest-ever league debutants at the age of 16.

She later joined Athlone Town, helping them win the FAI Women’s Cup in 2023 before establishing herself as their first-choice goalkeeper during a league title-winning campaign the following year.

A move to Shamrock Rovers followed in January 2025, prior to her arrival in Leicestershire.

Katie has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level and has also received several call-ups to the senior international squad.
