LCFC Women captain Sam Tierney sustained an ACL injury against Durham
The skipper was injured during Sunday’s 4-2 victory at King Power Stadium
Tierney will now begin her recovery with the support of the Club’s medical team

Sam suffered the injury as she assisted our first goal in a 4-2 win on Filbert Way on Sunday and has since undergone further assessment.

Following confirmation of the injury, Sam will now work closely with our medical team as she begins the next stage of her treatment and rehabilitation.

The 27-year-old will receive the full support of her team-mates, staff and everyone at LCFC Women throughout her recovery.

Everyone at the Club wishes Sam well with her rehabilitation and looks forward to seeing her back on the pitch when she is ready.
