Kirsten Otchere scores first professional goal in Cheltenham Town victory
Fellow Leicester City loanee Jake Evans was also on the scoresheet
The Robins defeated Fleetwood Town 4-2 at EV Charger Points Stadium
That result lifts them up to fifth in Sky Bet League Two
The Robins got off to the best possible start 17 minutes in when a Jay Lynch own goal put former Foxes coach Steve Cotterill’s men in front.
Otchere’s close-range finish midway through the half, meanwhile, doubled that advantage – a landmark moment for the 20-year-old in his development.
With six minutes to go until the break, another City loanee, Jake Evans, 18, hit a tidy first-time finish inside the box to take his 26/27 tally up to four goals for Cheltenham.
A double from Ched Evans gave Fleetwood hope in the second half, but Freddy Willcox’s 80th-minute finish confirmed the victory, lifting the Gloucestershire outfit up to fifth in Sky Bet League Two.
Cheltenham are next in action on Saturday, hosting Newport County at EV Charger Points Stadium (12:30pm BST kick-off). Make sure to check back to LCFC.com next week for an update on all of our loan players.
