Founded in December 2015, the group was recognised as an official LCFC supporters’ group four years later and now boasts thousands of fans on Facebook, Instagram and Naver Café, a major Korean online community.
Minhyeong lives in Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city. It’s a vibrant coastal city where scenic beaches meet a striking skyline – a unique blend of natural beauty and modern urban life.
On matchdays, Minhyeong usually joins a live group chat with fellow fans, discussing the game in real time. The group also organises regular meet-ups, often renting out football pubs in major cities like Seoul and Busan to watch matches together, which helps to strengthen the bonds within the LCFC community across the country.
“During the 2018/19 season, under Manager Claude Puel, I came to enjoy football – and more importantly, Leicester City. Later on, I became involved with a football-focused Instagram channel as a panel contributor.
“It was a valuable opportunity to share my knowledge, express my support, and help raise awareness of the Club among Korean football fans.
“During our time in the Premier League, matches were broadcast via SPOTV, a major sports channel. Now I subscribe to Foxes Hub to follow the matches.”
Getting the opportunity to attend several City matches in person last season, these included the fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and away matches at Liverpool and Manchester City.
“One of the most unforgettable experiences was meeting players like Ricky P, Wout Faes, Mads Hermansen, and Wilfred Ndidi, as well as legends such as Christian Fuchs, David Nugent, Iwan Roberts, and Alan Birchenall – players I’d only ever seen through media or archives.
“Hearing Kasabian’s Underdog and Club Foot blaring through the stadium, the Post-Horn Gallop fanfare before kick-off, and the whole crowd singing When You're Smiling, it was all deeply moving.
“Although the only goal I witnessed was Jordan Ayew’s at Anfield, the entire experience of chanting and celebrating with the fans around me marked a major turning point in my journey as a Leicester supporter.”
