  • Ghana drew 1-1 with Wales as they continue preparations for the FIFA World Cup
  • Abdul Fatawu and Jordan Ayew featured in Cardiff
  • Bilal El Khannouss and Morocco defeated Madagascar
  • Both Ghana and Morocco are set for the World Cup, staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico
Fatawu started on the right flank against Craig Bellamy's men at Cardiff City Stadium and the Black Stars took the lead through Caleb Yirenkyi, but it was later cancelled out by an injury-time header from Lewis Koumas.
The Foxes winger played the first half, being replaced by Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah. Departing striker Ayew, on the other hand, led the line for Carlos Queiroz’s side before being swapped out for Iñaki Williams in the 75th minute.
Ghana have just over two weeks before they’re in action in Group L. Their group stage opener versus Panama at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada, kicks off at 12am on 18 June, before later tackling England and Croatia.
Elsewhere, El Khannouss, on loan at VfB Stuttgart across last season, started and assisted the opening goal for Morocco en route to a 4-0 win over Madagascar.
His corner was met by Ismael Saibari, who would later add his second in the 25th minute to give the Atlas Lions a commanding lead at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The midfielder was also replaced at half-time as Mohamed Ouahbi rotated his side, bringing on Azzedine Ounahi, before Soufiane Rahimi and Ayoub El Kaabi made sure of the victory.
Ouahbi’s side have one final warm-up match ahead of beginning Group C, which features Brazil, Scotland and Haiti. They face Norway this Sunday at New Jersey's Sports Illustrated Stadium, an 8pm kick-off.
Harry Souttar and Australia, meanwhile, will contest a friendly fixture of their own against Switzerland on Saturday evening (8pm kick-off).
All times BST.
