Pushing up to fifth in the standings, having played two or three games more than others around them, the young Foxes returned to winning ways over the Saints on Wednesday afternoon.
Owusu opened the scoring in Seagrave after 15 minutes, but City were pushed back just before half-time when the visiting side equalised through a Harry Sutherington own goal.
Firing in the first goal.
It didn't take long after the restart for the hosts to regain the lead, with Owusu once again on the scoresheet at 52 minutes.
The Foxes managed to hold on for all three points against a side who remain 11th in the league, while Leicester themselves move up to fifth, and just two points behind third-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
Up next is a short trip to West Bromwich Albion, who are one spot behind Leicester, on Saturday 11 April (11am GMT kick-off).
