Woyo Coulibaly, Bilal El Khannouss and Wout Faes all featured in Europe

Starting with the forward on loan at the Cobblers, Evans scored his first goal for the club as they lost 3-1 to Wigan Athletic, keeping them second bottom in League 2.

Playing the full 90 minutes, and scoring his goal 10 minutes from time, he has the chance to feature again on Wednesday 15 April, away to Luton Town.

Sticking in League 2, Nathan Opoku featured twice for Newport County, who were beaten 2-0 by Crawley Town on Good Friday, before losing 3-1 to Notts County on Easter Monday, in which the striker registered an assist.

Just one spot above the drop, they welcome Harrogate Town on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off) to Rodney Parade.

Sammy Braybrooke got two full games over Easter for Chesterfield, who came out on top in a 1-0 scoreline over Cheltenham Town, before winning away at Barrow this week.

Evans found the net in Northampton's 3-1 defeat to Wigan.

This takes the Spireites to seventh and in the hunt for League 2 play-offs, with Tranmere Rovers in their sights, when the two sides meet on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Lining up for Tranmere could be Jayden Joseph, who will be looking for a return to winning ways after consecutive losses to Shrewsbury Town and then Colchester United. Starting in both games, they sit three points clear of the League 2 drop.

Heading to the Enterprise National League, Chris Popov saw an unbeaten Easter with Morecambe, who despite being eight points off safety, beat second-placed Rochdale 4-2, before drawing 2-2 with league leaders Carlisle United. Featuring across both games, the centre-forward has 11 goal involvements this term.

The last loanee in England to play, and score, was Kian Pennant, who featured in the last half hour on Good Friday, and scored in a 3-3 draw with Eastleigh, before getting the nod to start in their next game against Braintree on Monday, which ended goalless.

In Europe, Bilal El Khannouss lost 2-0 with VfB Stuttgart in the dying stages against Borussia Dortmund after Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt netted in injury time, keeping Stuttgart fourth in Bundesliga, on the search for Champions League football.

El Khannouss is chasing European football with Stuttgart.

Also hunting for a spot in next season’s illustrious competition is Wout Faes, who played a full game for Monaco last weekend, who beat Marseille 2-1 at Stade Louis II, to close the gap between fourth and fifth in Ligue 1 to just a single point.

Finally, Woyo Coulibaly tasted success with Sassuolo, coming off the bench to play the last half hour in their 2-1 win over Cagliari.

Sassuolo remain 10th in Serie A, with 42 points, as they look ahead to a game against Genoa, away from home, this Sunday morning (11:30am kick-off).
