Under-7s to Under-11s grassroots teams in Leicester and Leicestershire can now register for the chance to receive a brand-new adidas kit
Initiative marks what would have been Khun Vichai’s 68th birthday and continues his legacy of giving back
A total of 68 teams will be selected in a random prize draw
Registration is open until 17 April, with kits to be delivered in June or July
A total of 68 teams will be selected in a prize draw to receive a full kit, continuing our late Chairman Khun Vichai’s tradition of using his birthday as an opportunity to support others and make a difference in the community.
For so many young players, grassroots football is where their journey begins. But for many local clubs, providing kit for junior teams can be a real challenge, often relying on fundraising, volunteers and sponsorship to make it possible. Through this initiative, the VS Foundation is proud to offer meaningful support to teams across the region, while further strengthening our connection with grassroots football.
Each winning team will receive a full adidas kit featuring their own club crest on the front of the shirt and the VS Foundation logo on the sleeve.
The prize draw is open to teams from Under-7s through to Under-11s teams, as of the 2026/27 season, that are registered on Leicester City’s Grassroots Database.
Teams wishing to enter must complete the registration form by 17 April.
Please also note that teams currently registered on our Grassroots Database for 2025/26 will need to re-register for the 2026/27 season.

Friday 3 April - Registrations open
Friday 17 April - Deadline for eligible teams to register
Monday 20 April - 68 teams selected via prize draw
Tuesday 5 May - Kit production begins
June or July - Kits delivered to clubs
The 68 winning teams will be selected via a random prize draw on Monday 20 April, before kit production begins in May. Kits will be delivered directly to clubs during June and July.
As part of the experience, selected teams will also have the opportunity to show off their new kits through a series of special moments, including player engagement at training sessions, player escort opportunities on matchday and kit reveals at King Power Stadium.
To mark what would have been Khun Vichai’s 67th birthday in 2025, the VS Foundation donated football training packs to 67 primary schools closest to King Power Stadium, helping children enjoy more opportunities to play and be active. This year, we’re proud to extend that support to grassroots junior teams across Leicester and Leicestershire, continuing a legacy that remains deeply important to the Club and its community.
