We return to WSL action following the October international break
The Foxes face Arsenal at King Power Stadium this Sunday (12pm GMT kick-off)
Missy Goodwin and Celeste Boureille edge closer to being match ready, confirmed Rick Passmoor
For City, it was a positive break, which saw each player come back unaffected by injuries, although the Manager knows there are more elements which can play a part in their fitness.
"Across all the WSL clubs, you have your fingers crossed that they come home okay," Rick Passmoor explained. "It’s not just the performances at the travel as well."
The Manager gave an update on Goodwin and Boureille.
"We’ve had Chantelle [Swaby] come back from half-way across the world. The Iceland game (which included Hlín Eiríksdóttir) was postponed by a day as well because of the snow, so this all plays a part in how we have to get players back and ready for gameday."
The longer-term absentees of Missy Goodwin and Celeste Boureille were also addressed during Friday's press conference at Belvoir Drive, but Passmoor stated the pair are building towards match fitness.
He added: “We’ve got rehab on Missy [Goodwin] and Celeste [Boureille] still to do but they’re getting closer and the medics are working wonders so they’re getting closer day by day."
