The miles spent on the road keep racking up, with the longest journey on the cards this weekend when we make the trip to face Brighton at Amex Stadium, with the action kicking off at 12pm GMT on Sunday.
Having come from behind to earn a point against West Ham United last weekend, the Manager wants his squad to learn from each phase of the game played in London, as he spoke to the media at Belvoir Drive…
Reflecting on the Hammers game
A late goal earned us a point against West Ham last time out.
A late goal earned us a point against West Ham last time out.
Shannon O’Brien rescued a point last weekend in the final moments as West Ham’s search for a maiden win of the campaign continues.
Taking our tally up to six, and still five above the bottom-placed Hammers, Passmoor hopes his side learn from the draw, knowing a win could put us above Brighton in the WSL standings.
“As a group, we’re learning,” the Manager stated during Friday’s press conference. “I think it’s really important to look at our process and review our game and when you look at the psychological side of it, we’ve got a young team.
“They’re still building up more experience in the WSL, so to come out of that and regroup, we wish to be better.
“The now situation doesn’t define us; we’re trying to engage in new principles of play and make sure we have a good foundation.
“We’ve got to grow in the right direction, so we’ve reviewed the game, and we need to look at our transitions of play, how we work with and without the ball.
“The outcome will look after itself, but to come away from West Ham with a point, considering how they played and have played this season, despite their league position, is a positive.”
Fighting for each spot

Three of our five goals in the league this season have come from the bench, and with Noémie Mouchon’s injury to her ankle keeping her out until beyond the festive period, Passmoor still believes the available competition in the squad will continue to make each individual better.
“The door is open for anyone in this squad to grab the shirt, and once you’ve got it, to retain it,” he continued. “If you’re not in that starting line-up then prove to me you should be.
“By performing in training, what you do from the bench and how you hold yourself in and around the training ground because we’re very much into culture; putting the person first to grow the player.
“They (the players) need to understand that and build resilience in their career, but at the moment, the training we’re achieving is good and displays exactly how we want to play.
“But as I’ve said, it’s not about now, but how we build to where we want to be. There will be bumps in the road but it’s about how resilient and steadfast your mindset is to continue playing to the principles and the gameplan we set in place.
“The one thing Leicester City have to be is hard-working, and it’s important to stay together on that.”
The talk on Brighton
Brighton played on Wednesday night, losing to Charlton in the League Cup.

The Seagulls sit one spot above us in the standings, but with what Passmoor believes is a good squad, and a home advantage this weekend, they will take some beating as we aim for our first away win.
The Manager added: “When you look at Brighton in the last couple of years, and the infrastructure they have. They are aggressive and competent in possession; they are a good team with some very good players.
“They want to be high in terms of the stats, such as possession, shots on goal, etc. They will pose a challenge for us because you can see they are well-coached.
“Once more, we will bring a game that is suitable to get us a result. But the players need to concentrate on our strengths, have no fear, but plenty of respect for who we are playing.”
