A Scotland international, Eddie has represented Hibernian and more recently Rangers during her football career to date and moves to Leicester for her first taste of the English game.

At 25-years-old, the centre-half is excited to represent her new side and believes she has qualities that can help the Foxes regain entry back to the top tier.

Leah joins the Foxes having departed Scottish side Rangers this summer.

“I’m really excited to get started,” Eddie announced. “I had a lot of conversations with the Club; I’ve seen the facilities and the way that they are looking to push next season and that’s something I’d love to be a part of.

“I’ve played in the Scottish league for a long time, and I really enjoyed my time there but I’m looking for something new and there’s no better place to come and try that.”

Speaking to us for the first time at King Power Stadium, the Falkirk-based defender is hoping to create plenty of happy memories on Filbert Way and end her debut season with success in WSL2.

“It’s a really nice stadium,” Eddie continued. “It’s obviously a huge club to be a part of and hopefully when we’re playing here, we’ll get some good results.

Excited for a new chapter.

“When I moved to Rangers, I won my first two cups of my career so I will be looking to use that experience and come here and win more cups and get promoted.

“I think I’m easy going and up for a laugh and a joke around, but when I need to be serious, I can get the work done.”

Eddie will join up with her team-mates, who return to Belvoir Drive for the first day of pre-season, on Monday 20 July.
