Leah Eddie signs three-year contract with LCFC Women
Central defender joins after two seasons with Rangers
The 25-year-old is a Scotland international

The 25-year-old makes the move to Leicestershire having spent eight seasons in the Scottish Women's Premier League with Hibernian and most recently Rangers.

Speaking to Foxes Hub, Leah said: "I’m really excited to get started. I had a lot of conversations with the Club; I’ve seen the facilities and the way that they are looking to push next season and that’s something I’d love to be a part of.

“I’ve played in the Scottish league for a long time, and I really enjoyed my time there but I’m looking for something new and there’s no better place to come and try that.

“It’s a really nice stadium. It’s obviously a huge club to be a part of and hopefully when we’re playing here, we’ll get some good results.

“When I moved to Rangers, I won the first two cups of my career so I will be looking to use that experience to try and win more cups and get promoted.”

Born in Falkirk, Scotland, the centre back started her career within the Central Ladies Academy before breaking into senior women's football with Rangers in 2018.

A positive six-year spell with Hibs followed before a return to Rangers in 2024. In her first season back in Glasgow, she would make 27 appearances in all competitions and be named the club's Player of the Year for a second time.

Internationally, Leah has made a total of six appearances for Scotland and made her debut in a 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland in June 2021.

She played 23 times for Rangers last season, scoring two goals, in a campaign that saw the Blue Belles finish two points behind SWPL title winners Hearts.

Leah will now look forward to linking up with the squad at Belvoir Drive in preparation for our upcoming season in Barclays Women's Super League 2.
