LCFC Women return to Belvoir Drive for pre-season
Day one consisted of screening, strength training and pitch work
New signing Leah Eddie was involved following her permanent move to Leicestershire
The thoughts of last season’s relegation have been put behind us as the Foxes now look to the WSL2 season, with the aim of an immediate return to the top flight.
The start of the week marked day one of our pre-season schedule, which includes two weeks of building speed and strength, before a handful of behind-closed-doors friendlies to get us back up to match speed.
Emilia Pelgander, Emma Jansson and Katie Keane arriving at Belvoir Drive.
After catching up with each other, the players were handed their new training kit and headed into team meetings before getting into the gym.
Here they went through multiple layers of testing, such as screening, strength testing and balance, before lacing up the boots for the first time since our involvement in the World Sevens.
Getting our first touches on the pitch, under the hot summer sun, was followed by an all-out push on the gym bikes to conclude our first day of action.
New signing Leah Eddie, who joined us following her spell at Rangers, has been involved straight away, along with two of our returning loanees, Emilia Pelgander and Simone Sherwood, as we head into a new chapter this season.
