Emilia Pelgander shared her thoughts on a positive point in Barclays WSL2
Battling to earn an important point at King Power Stadium, the Swedish midfielder was happy to come away with something to show for the Foxes’ effort, but admitted the aim was to get back to winning ways in Barclays WSL2. “It’s really important (to get a point), we got some things right which got us the point, we wanted all three, but it’s the start of something,” Pelgander stated.

“Once we got the 2-2 goal, we felt like we wanted to go for a third one, and I think we did well pushing, but sadly couldn’t get it.”
A draw does break the run of four straight losses in the league and gives us a chance to build back up the table, where we currently sit eighth with seven points.
Feeling like performances have started to improve, our No.18 understands it must all come together now for 90 minutes if we want to start getting more wins on the board.
“We feel like we’ve had something to build on recently, but not got the right result,” the 22-year-old continued. “I think one point is fine, but as I said, we wanted all three.
“I think we need to be more clinical in both boxes. The goals that they scored were a little too easy and I think we can be more clinical in their box as well.
“We threatened them every time we got in behind so we need to keep doing that and keep this up with scoring goals.”
