LCFC Women host Watford at King Power Stadium this weekend
Rick Passmoor delivered a fitness update during Friday's press conference at Belvoir Drive
Olivia McLoughlin and Poppy Pritchard have missed training with the flu, but could be in contention
During Friday's press conference at Belvoir Drive Rick Passmoor examined the squad, following a penalty shootout victory against Southampton, as our attention returns to league action for the visit of the Hornets. While we still have a handful of players out with longer term injuries, the Manager explained how it is the flu that is disrupting training, with McLoughlin and Pritchard both on limited minutes during training heading into Sunday's match at King Power Stadium. "We know where we're at with the mid to long-term injuries, but right now, it's the bugs and illnesses that have hit the team hard, keeping players away from the main group over the last fortnight," Passmoor stated.
"Some players have had to be in isolation and stay at home, and this week we had Liv McLoughlin, who is still suffering with it slightly, and Poppy Pritchard has had a couple of days away from the group.
"But we're looking forward to having her back in training and then we can see where we are at come selection for the team on Sunday."
