The Foxes will meet the Barclays Women’s Super League second-placed team this Saturday lunchtime (12pm GMT kick-off) at King Power Stadium in search for our first points of the new year.
Following the closure of the January transfer window, the Manager previewed the upcoming fixture, and offered his thoughts on the new players that came through the doors of Belvoir Drive last month…
‘It’s gone really well’
Alisha Lehmann was our fifth and final signing last month.

Five new additions were added to Passmoor’s squad, with Emma Jansson, Ashleigh Neville, Rachel Williams, Sarah Mayling and Alisha Lehmann all coming in.
Adding quality and depth across each area of the football pitch, the Manager believes the squad are in a good place to tackle this second part of the season, going on to outline the benefits of sending youngsters Nelly Las and Simone Sherwood out on loan.
“I think it’s gone really well,” Passmoor stated. “The spanner was Emma Jansson and the injury, so it was a case of could we do anything in the eleventh hour, but then when you look at the players returning, we’ve got a lot more depth.
“So it wasn’t a necessity, and getting our signings in early will really help us. All of them have settled in really well around the training ground and pitch.
“With Nelly [Las] and Simone [Sherwood], history tells you I’m really into developing our own, but the WSL is getting more competitive and age of debuts and average ages are going up.
“At the moment where we are, they are part of our medium to long-term plans and what they need now is minutes and sending them out on loan will not only aid the clubs they have gone to, but their own personal development.
“When they return here, they are in a far stronger place to push forward. We have to look after these players and throwing them in at the wrong time can be tough, so it’s about looking after them and their careers.”
‘I’ve seen the energy and how good it was’

City found themselves in an unusual situation last weekend, with our trip to Emirates Stadium, to face Arsenal, postponed due to their involvement in the Champions Cup.
Setting ourselves up for a two-week prep into the Red Devils clash, Passmoor believes training has remained positive, with an energetic group of players ready for Saturday’s test.
“When there isn’t a game, it means you’re in front of the schedule,” the Manager continued. “So you need to make sure the training is appropriate for the players’ needs within that period.
“Then you see the energy ramp up in the lead-up to the game. Coming off the training pitch today, I’ve seen the energy and how good it was.
“We’ve got nine points before the break, and we were in a position where people were talking about us.
“When you look at that mini league at the bottom of the WSL, and how competitive it is, with recruitment, everyone wants to stay in this league, and it will go to the wire.
“It’s about creating the right environment so that the players are composed and ready for every game coming up.
“We know our targets and, if we hit them, then we’ll be fine in the long term.”
‘We’ve grown and developed’

The reverse fixture, ending in a 4-0 win for Man Utd, was our opening game of the season, and while Passmoor admits the Manchester outfit have only continued to get better, he believes that is also the case for the Foxes.
Going on to pick up nine points to date, the former West Ham United assistant manager knows what is at stake this year but keeps grounded with the long-term project he and his coaching staff have signed up for.
“When we played them last time, on the opening day, we had been in the building together for two or three days,” Passmoor explained.
“Since then, we’ve grown and developed. What we’ve ensured is that we have a real team energy around the place and the identity we want to have as Leicester City.
“A lot of the time, in our games, there has only been a goal in it, so it’s about competing for the 90 minutes, but there has been signs of progression since the opening day.
“It’s about consistency. We need to make sure we’re consistent and reliable in each aspect of our game, because it is the little moments that can change the game.”
