Leicester's youngsters pushed hard until the end, but were ultimately beaten at the final hurdle of the competition, losing out to the Blues at Loughborough University Stadium.
Sammy Kaczmar scored twice and Amya Hammond-McLean netted once, forcing a dramatic finish to proceedings, coming from 4-1 down to within a strike of levelling things up before the whistle cut them off.

City beat Southampton and Sunderland on their way to the final two, but had their backs up against the wall early, conceding after six minutes to Millie Pullen in Loughborough.
We responded well, settled things down and Kaczmar's first of the afternoon brought the scores level heading into the break.
Birmingham started the second half well, retaking the lead three minutes after the restart before it became 3-1 shortly after the hour mark through Lucy Powis.
Forcing a late push.

With less than 10 to go, Emily Fitzpatrick put the game out of sight, or so it seemed, but Leicester responded with a late charge.
Hammond-McLean scored 60 seconds later before Kaczmar's netted in the 89th minute, pushing the game to a nervy ending, but the Blues held on during the five additional minutes to get their hands on the trophy.
A disappointing ending to an otherwise perfect cup campaign, the young Foxes can keep their heads held high, and now look to finish their league campaign as strongly as possible.
