Finland international agrees a two-year deal

Our 2023/24 LCFC Women top scorer Jutta Rantala has signed a new contract with us at King Power Stadium to remain a key part of our front line until at least the conclusion of the 2026/27 season.

An exciting and dynamic forward with an eye for goal, Jutta re-signs in Leicestershire as a fan favourite, having scored 11 goals and contributed seven assists in 34 appearances.

Speaking to Foxes Hub, Jutta said: "I am delighted to be staying with the Football Club. I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running and helping to build on what the team achieved last season.

"The support since I've been here has been fantastic and has helped the team on so many occasions. I am excited to be back at King Power Stadium and getting back out there in front of our supporters."

Her debut campaign in 2023/24 saw the 25-year-old pick up both the Player and Players’ Player of the Season awards, finishing as LCFC Women’s top goalscorer with 10 goals in all competitions.

Comfortable operating in midfield or across the forward line, she joined the Club in August 2023 from Damallsvenskan side Vittsjö GIK and quickly established herself a vital part of the Foxes squad.

On the international stage, Jutta is a key figure for Finland, having earned 34 caps and scoring 10 goals to date since making her senior debut in 2020.

Most recently, she represented her nation in the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championships in games against Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
