Our signed, match-worn poppy shirts have raised thousands of pounds
Supporters also donated funds on designated matchdays
All proceeds will go towards supporting the Royal British Legion
A total of £19,604.78 was raised by supporters, with our Men’s team wearing the special-edition shirts for games against Middlesbrough and Norwich City, while LCFC Women donned them for clashes with Arsenal and West Ham United.
All match shirts worn by our players across these fixtures featured the poppy emblem, continuing our long-standing commitment to supporting the Poppy Appeal.
We were the first football club to wear poppies on our shirts in 2003 - a tribute that has since become a tradition across English football.
For the past century, the poppy has become a symbol of support for our Armed Forces, an iconic part of national Remembrance across the UK to honour the contribution of service men and women, past and present.
Every donation to the Poppy Appeal helps to provide vital support to the Armed Forces community and ensure their service is never forgotten.
