Kyle Syrett, Caitlin Randall and Olivia Hancock are all up for Coach Core Awards or Lifetime Learning Awards
The organisation as a whole is also nominated for Employer of the Year - Sustained
At this year’s Coach Core Awards and Lifetime Learning Awards, recognising excellence, dedication, and impact within community sport, four nominations have been announced that showcase the strength of our people and our commitment to developing the next generation of coaches.
Kyle Syrett has been shortlisted for National Coach Core Graduate of the Year, a fantastic achievement that reflects his journey through the Coach Core programme and the impact he continues to make within the community. Kyle’s development, professionalism and passion for coaching have set a brilliant example for aspiring coaches.
Caitlin Randall has also been recognised on the national stage, being shortlisted for National Coach Core Apprentice of the Year. Caitlin’s dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to learning have stood out throughout her apprenticeship, and this nomination highlights the positive influence she has already made in her role.
In addition to individual success, Leicester City in the Community has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year - Sustained, recognising our long-standing partnership with Coach Core and our continued commitment to supporting apprentices into meaningful employment and development opportunities.
We have proudly delivered the Coach Core apprenticeship scheme for several years, helping young people build careers in sport and the community sector.
This sustained success is built on a strong track record, with previous Coach Core apprentices going on to achieve great things within the industry, including winning awards, progressing into full-time roles, and making a lasting difference in communities across Leicester and beyond.
Completing this year’s list of nominees, Olivia Hancock has been shortlisted for Lifetime Learning Community Coach of the Year. Olivia’s nomination reflects her dedication to lifelong learning, her positive impact on participants, and her commitment to using sport as a tool for social change.
These nominations are a testament to the hard work, passion and values demonstrated by our staff every day. Everyone at Leicester City in the Community would like to congratulate Kyle, Caitlin, Olivia, and the wider team on this fantastic recognition, and wish them the very best of luck at the awards ceremony next month.
No matter the outcome, we are incredibly proud of everyone involved.
