After scoring twice in the friendly draw with Nepal last week, the midfielder played throughout the penultimate Group C fixture at Bangladesh National Stadium, as the Bengal Tigers moved onto five points from five matches, remaining third in the standings.
In FIFA World Cup qualifying, Jannik Vestergaard’s Denmark had to settle for a play-off spot following a last-gasp 4-2 defeat to Scotland at Hampden Park.

The Foxes centre-back was introduced in the 64th minute, shortly after Rasmus Kristensen’s red card, but an injury-time double from the hosts saw Steve Clarke’s side automatically qualify for next summer’s tournament by topping UEFA Group C, two points ahead of the Danes in second.
Across to the Americas, Bobby De Cordova-Reid played 78 minutes as Jamaica drew 0-0 against Curacao in Kingston, failing to automatically qualify for the World Cup as a result.
Requiring a win at Independence Park to claim top spot in CONCACAF Group B, the visitors held out to remain one point ahead of the Reggae Boyz, who were also reduced to 10 men in the second half and must now contest a play-off.
Louis Page came on as a second-half substitute but could not prevent England Under-17s from exiting the FIFA U17 World Cup at the last-16 stage, losing 4-0 to Austria in Qatar. Jake Evans remained on the bench in Doha as 10-man England conceded three further goals following Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez’s 50th-minute red card, which came soon after the opener.

A more positive Young Lions result came in the Under-19s age group, with Jeremy Monga coming on as a substitute 69 minutes into the 4-0 victory over Scotland at Raudondvaris Stadium, a third win from three in the first stage of UEFA U19 EURO 2026 qualification.
Will Antwi’s Young Lions also saw off Lithuania and Latvia in Kaunas to top Group 8 with a 100 per cent record and progress into the next qualifying round.
Over in Group 6, meanwhile, Lyndon Turrell played another 90 minutes for Gibraltar Under-19s, who lost 1-0 to Georgia in their final first round qualifier at Stadion NK Lučko, finishing fourth.
It ended 1-1 between England Under-17s and Australia at Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, meanwhile, with Hugo De Lisle introduced from the bench in Dubai, as Liam Bramley’s Young Lions came from behind to draw their final match of 2025.
