Three-year strategy sets out our commitment to keeping people safe
Safeguarding remains a key part of our leadership, culture and daily practice
Strategy covers Leicester City, LCFC Women and Leicester City in the Community

The three-year strategy, covering 2026-2029, builds on the progress we’ve already made and provides a clear framework for continuing to strengthen safeguarding practices across Leicester City, LCFC Women and Leicester City in the Community.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, with the safety of children, young people and adults at risk remaining a top priority for us.

This strategy sets out our vision for safeguarding to be embedded across our leadership, culture and daily practice, supported by a number of key principles including taking concerns seriously, listening to people’s experiences, working closely with partners and continually learning and improving.

It also recognises the importance of creating a culture where everyone understands their responsibility for keeping people safe, with clear processes in place to prevent harm, respond to concerns and ensure people know where to turn for support.

Our approach is built on the understanding that safeguarding is not a one-off task, but ongoing work requiring care, attention and commitment from everyone.

The strategy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if required, to ensure we continue to maintain high safeguarding standards and strengthen our practices.

Reporting a safeguarding concern

We take all safeguarding concerns seriously.

Anyone with a safeguarding concern can contact our Safeguarding department by emailing safeguarding@lcfc.co.uk.

A confidential text message service is also available by texting 80818 and starting the message with the word SAFE.
